Italy’s Lucart has increased its presence across Europe after closing the transaction to acquire a controlling stake in Cartindustria Eurocarta.
With a turnover of €80m and 70 employees, Lucart said it is now “the largest independent European converter specialising exclusively in the sector of products and services for hygiene and cleaning outside the home.”
Cartindustria Eurocarta was established over 30 years ago and annually produces more than 40,000 tons of processed waste.
The two plants are both located in Porcari, Lucca.
Following the transaction, the shareholders’ meeting appointed the new Board of Directors of Cartindustria Eurocarta, which will be composed of Lorenzo Riva as Chief Executive, Alessandro Pasquini as Chairman, as well as Ilaria Agati, Francesco Pasquini and Andrea Fano.
