Futura salesman Matteo Dal Poggetto and Robert Espat, Owner of Roses Southwest

American tissue manufacturer Roses Southwest Papers has diversified into the consumer tissue segment after investing in a Futura-supplied Andromeda converting line.

The family-owned company is expanding out from its historic AfH markets, with the converting line to be installed at the company’s Albuquerque, New Mexico-based plant.

It said the reason for the move was “driven by increasing demand for high-quality, value-oriented retail products.”

According to Futura, the new Andromeda converting line will “enhance automation, throughput, and finished product quality,” positing the business to compete in the consumer space and creating additional capacity that can support strategic partnerships across the industry.

Roses Southwest Papers was founded in 1984.
